Portishead Victorian Evening is the biggest street Fayre in the town that has attract 1000's of visitors. Still till this day, the event is set up and run by the Portishead Christmas Lights Team who are all volunteers and Strive to make this event better and better every year.
We have a number of allocations for all types of stalls and we work on a first come first serve basis. If the allocations for your type of stall is full, we will place you on a waiting list .
PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TYPE OF STALLS. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AS YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED
Portishead Christmas Lights (the organisers) reserves the right to refuse applications without having to justify its decision
Crafters
All Crafting stalls have all their Licencing fees included in your pitch fee's all ready. So no need to worry about applying for a Licence
Commercial Traders
All Commercial Traders will have to apply for a Licence via the North Somerset Council. This is to comply will the law abiding rules set out by North Somerset Council for all events in NSC district. Portishead Christmas Lights will need a copy of your Licence 10 day Prior to the event. Failure to produce a valid Licence for this event will result in you not being able to trade at the evet and you will not a great a refund on your pitch.
Trader will need to bring their own table(s) and are permitted to erect temporary gazebos or Stall. If electricl power is need, you are permitted to bring a small, low noise, deasil powered generator
Allocation of pitches at the event is at the sole discretion of Portishshead Christmas Lights. Please note that's its a paved or tarmacked surface. Please bring appropriate weights for any gazebos/tents as anchor's. You can not use pegs to peg them down with.
Please ensure you have Public Liability insurance of £5m and that you have a valid risk assessment. If you are selling food products, you will also need a Food Hygiene Certificate.
All traders are reminded that this is an outdoor event. There is NO indoor space. Please ensure that you set up equipment includes protection to protect you and your product should the havens open. As this an outdoor event ther could be a chance of bad wether. If this is the case and the event is cancelled there will be no refunds as the proceeds go to the running of the Portishead Christmas Lights and the event. There will also be no compensation for loss of earnings. Please note that's its a paved or tarmacked surface. Please bring appropriate weights for any gazebos/tents as anchor's. You can not use pegs to peg them down with.
CHECK IN
Please arrive to the event site at 1:15pm. Entrance will not be granted after 2pm. Site access is via the the ''THE OLD MILL PUB'' end of the Portishead High street. No other access will be granted.
Please have a print out or a digital copy of your ticket showing your unique QR scan. You must have this to check in. If you don't, you may be refused access to the event. Please have all the rest of the documents required stated in the below T&C's. Pitch tickets are available via eventbrite only.
The event trading times are 3pm to 7pm.
All stall holders must be off the public highway by 8:20pm.
